Scandinavian legend has it that the Nisse looks over your household, but it can be a prankster too.

Around Christmas, the Nisser will bring children and their family’s gifts, if they know how to befriend them.

According to Scandinavian folklore, every home has its own Nisse who lives in a barn or the countryside near your house.

Knicker was one of those Nisser 😅

Knicker describes himself as being short, having a long white beard, and he wears red kickers and a red knit cap. None of us have seen him yet, so we just take his word for it.  Mya has seen his silhouette briefly, but it was so brief it was hard to take note of many features. She did say she could make out a hat on his head though.

His life spent as a Nisser Elf has been quite amusing, he says. He learned a lot about the people he watched over. He also saw and heard a lot of family secrets. He lives to be roughly 175 years old, though he does not know exactly when he was born or when he perished. He knows only that he lived in the 17th century into the early 1900s.

Having the inside scoop on the families he watched over was fun, initially, until it turned fatal for him. The husband and father of the last family he resides with was cheating on his wife with a man, and Knicker saw things. One night, the man had met his lover in the woods just beyond their property. He told his wife he was going for a walk. When he met his lover, they made out in the woods. When they finished, Knicker let out a snicker. Unintentionally, of course. Both men heard him, but they didn’t know who or where he was. The visiting boyfriend fled, fearing his wife would find out if anyone had seen them together and could identify him. The man who lived there stayed outside for a bit, looking around. Then he spotted Knicker. He knew immediately it was he who snickered! That was Knicker’s last day alive on earth. He was murdered.

Mya asked him what made him snicker that evening. He said he couldn’t help himself. It was very cold outside, and both men had issues with their manhood because of it. 😂

She asked him was it worth laughing out loud. His response was yes, it was priceless, and one of his fondest memories because he laughed so hard and he couldn’t stop. He said he would do it again if he saw the same scenario again.

Aside from protecting you, Knicker will help you find your true passion in life. Many people have jobs, friends, pets, and family; but they don’t have careers, best friends, loves of their lives, and hobbies that they love. Knicker will show you your hidden talents, career assets, and visions of you working in an environment that not only suits you, it is more comfortable for you than sitting at home watching TV all day.   So many of us adults still don’t know what we want to be when we grow up, and many of us are closing in on retirement age already.  Lots of us think we know what good friends are, a great relationship, and how much we love our hobbies. Knicker will show you visions of what it could be like, and he’ll show you how to get it.

Knicker, like most of his species, worked solo all his adult life. He never left his post. He had female Nisser visit him though, and he believes he fathered more than 75 children in his life. He says he lost count. If you have children or plan to have them, Knicker is a pro at child rearing! He may not have lived with his children physically, but he was able to split his spirit so that he could be with them while also guarding his human’s home.

He outlived the families he guarded, and new families would move into the same home, so he never had to leave that home. He would then become the new home owner’s guard.

Knocker found his niche when he protected families from dangers they never even knew lurked just beyond their homes. Knicker took care of many perpetrators over the years. Wild animals, mostly, but he protected them from human intruders as well. Every time he defended his family and scared people and creatures away, he experienced a super sized serving of euphoria. Protecting was his passion.

For offerings, Knicker likes all types of berries, but especially strawberries and Holly berries.  He also enjoys anything chocolate, apple pie, raisins, dried apricots, ginger ale, hot chocolate, peppermints, and warm apple cider. For fun, he enjoys watching Christmas shows on TV, listening to church choirs, and pulling pranks on his keeper.  He assures us they are tiny pranks like poking holes in your toothpaste roll so when you squeeze the tube, it squirts all over your hands. 🤣  You may have to set boundaries with this one! Especially if you’re on a tight budget and he keeps ruining your consumable products!

Knicker likes combs and hairbrushes, as well. He loves the old sets that were usually gold or silver and included a brush, a comb and a hand mirror.

If you would like to adopt Knicker, he must be remotely bound to something you own. He is not fussy about what this item would be, but he would like us to hint that he likes gray rocks or crystals, hand mirrors and brushes, and jewelry. You know what to do next!
