Navtika (Tikki for short)

If you don't have any experience with Kitsunes, you're in for a real treat! Kitsune are foxes that possess paranormal abilities that increase as they get older and wiser. They are only found in Japan.

Tikki is a Zenko Kitsune spirit, specifically. Zenko are benevolent, celestial Japanese foxes and they are associated with the god Inari. Some simply call them Inari Foxes. They have nine tails by the time they turn 100 years old, and that is when they also become pure white in color, as seen in the photo.

These Japanese Kitsune have the power to ward off evil, and they sometimes serve as guardian spirits. Besides protecting Inari shrines, they also protect the local villages from the evil kitsune and other malevolent Japanese foxes. In spirit, they protect their keepers and the home in which they dwell with them, including any and all family members in the home. Who needs a watch dog?

We know Tikki was born on November 22, 1482, along with two sisters and a brother all from the same litter. He was the first born and his sister Tonna was born last. Tonna became his life mate when they both matured, which is not uncommon for foxes. They often mate with their own kin.

Tonna and Tikki had one litter of five kits before Tonna was trapped and killed for her coat, only a year or so after she gave birth to their children. Tikki was left to care for the five children alone. This is all he would tell us of his life in his "fox suit", as he refers to it (and most Kitsune have also used this term while visiting us). He does not wish to discuss how he died, as he said it is not something he likes to reflect on, and it would only make us feel badly as well. He did say that his children all lived a happy and long life. He will reincarnate at some point to be with all of them again. His family has all reincarnated several times, but he has work to do that he can do more easily in spirit than he can in a fox suit, so he tells us he will be around for another 30 years. His time is coming up when he will reincarnate to be with Tonna and his children, who recently all reincarnated again.

So the good news is, you Tikki is not likely to outlive you, resulting in him having to find another keeper before he reincarnates. The bad news is, he will likely be leaving you before you leave your human suit.

Tikki is a terrific shapeshifter! Think of the possibilities of things he can do for you as a shifter. He can follow anyone, and shift into the appearance of anyone. He can eavesdrop if people thinks he belongs where he is. Let your imagination run wild! He will not ALWAYS do everything you ask of him though. He will make an exception if he feels his actions could harm someone in any way. (Undeservingly). For instance, if you suspect a cheating partner, you could ask him to follow your partner to see if they're cheating. If he discovers they are, he would see who they're cheating with and he could shift himself to look just like that person and you can let your imagination run from there. If you think your co-workers are talking behind your back, or you fear you could be getting fired, again....Tikki to the rescue. He would either be able to confirm your suspicions or put your mind at ease. We'd hope for the latter of course.

Tikki's offerings should include any or all of the following:

  • Playing dominos with him
  • Playing card games with him
  • Watching The Fox and the Hound
  • Letting him gaze at a fire in a fire pit, either in person or on TV
  • Sharing any of the following foods with him: Sardines, trout, flounder, Brussel's sprouts, carrot cake, onion rings, banana or chocolate pudding (or mixed), fried sliced tofu (aburage), Slim Jims or any kind of beef jerkey and smoked cheeses.

Normal protocol should be followed for applying to adopt Tikki, as outlined in our Terms of Service.

Important information about having any spirit bound to you remotely:

No product will be shipped to you, so there are no shipping charges. This is a remote binding which Meta or Mya will conduct to help your spirit transition from our space to your item or to you, whichever you prefer.

The object you choose for your spirit's vessel, if not your person, can be anything you find to be pleasing to the eye. Something that sparks you when you see it. It can be a gem or a crystal, a skull, a baseball bat or anything you'd consider to be a weapon, a piece of jewelry, a small statue, an antique of some sort, or anything you find aesthetically pleasing but not derogatory. Most spirits don't have enough of a sense of humor to allow some of the things that some have requested in the past. If it's something you wouldn't show your mother, don't even bother sending us the pic! We have had people send us pics of fake dog poop, sex toys, a bong, and more. Just use common sense! It doesn't have to be beautiful in your spirit's eyes. It only needs to be something you find to be aesthetically pleasing, and something you know would not be insulting to him.

When you submit the photo of the object you wish your spirit to be bound, please also set that item out on a table or a dresser somewhere (not in a drawer or a closet). We can usually knock bindings out pretty quickly between harder jobs such as readings when we need a break from those more tedious jobs. You might be told the binding ceremony will take place three days from now, but if we find an hour somewhere that we can get this done for you before that appointment time, we will do it if you tell us that you have the item out in the open. Most spirits will not bind to anything that is tucked away somewhere, or at least not without hesitation.

Once the binding ceremony is finished, you will know either by receiving an email from us letting you know your spirit has been remotely bound or by getting a notification directly from our website system that looks like a form letter stating that "your purchase is on the way". We did not choose this verbiage, so rest assured, in this case, the binding is complete. They use that verbiage because many of our products are shipped, and we don't want panic from people who get this automatic notification when we print postage for their item. If it read "Your item has been delivered", many customers would worry that they got a delivery notification rather than a shipping notification if they know they did not receive their order. So please excuse the verbiage for remote bindings, readings, and portals to special spirits. This notification actually means the service has been done. We try to also contact you by email to let you know, but this is not always possible when we are extremely busy getting orders out. Mya or Meta always have time to mark the order as fulfilled when they finish the binding ceremonies though.
