Mookie the Choker!! (Pronounced Moo Key) - Circa 1400s in Greece

When she first arrived, she told Meta she was going to choke her. Meta said THE HELL! And she set the ground rules right away, which is what you will need to do if you adopt her. Otherwise, all bets are off.

Mookie is dark, just as she was in her most recent previous life. When she was just 7 years old, she had already killed numerous animals with her bare hands. (Both domestic, as well as wild animals). By the time she was 11, she put at least 20 other children in the hospital. She wasn't a large girl for her age, and some of the children she harmed were much taller, she said. She just had something in her that gave her strength beyond belief for her small stature. Before she passed away at age 12, she "accidentally" killed another child. She fell to her own death while trying to kill another child three days after her 12th birthday. She was chasing him down a concrete staircase, lost her footing, did somersaults down the stairs, and broke her neck upon landing at the bottom.

Most spirits who come to us like this have a reason for their madness. We have not found a single reason for Mookie to be like this.

I asked her if she had parents who did unspeakable things to her. She said, "No, my parents were lovely". I asked her if someone harmed her before she passed. She said no. I asked her if she witnessed something horrific that made her turn dark. Again, the answer was no. I asked probably five or six more things that sometimes cause a child to become so dark, and the answer was consistently NO. Finally, I asked her why she was so dark then if none of the things I asked her, and she said, "Because it's fun".

She is vague on a lot of things we ask her. She will only tell us that it was in the 1400s that she lived. It's possible she was never aware of the exact years with the madness she carried in her head.

I asked her if she understands that she is not going to harm anyone here in the shop, and she said she understood. I asked her what her mission is since she went out of her way to obtain a vessel. Her answer was that she wanted to keep learning the dark arts and she wanted a partner to do it with. She wants someone to research the best dark magick with her, and to practice it. When I asked her why this is so important to her, she replied, "Because I will come back as the second coming of Alice Kyteler, and I will need all the practice I can get in the meantime".

Alice Kyteler was the first recorded woman condemned for witchcraft in Ireland, Kyteler lived from the late 1200s to the early 1300s. Kyteler was married four times, which already marked her as an usual woman. After her fourth husband died expressing fear that he had been poisoned, his children and the children of her three previous husbands accused her of using poison and sorcery against their fathers. She was accused of myriad other depraved acts, such as animal sacrifice, worshiping Satan, and using her powers to manipulate and control Christians. One of her servants, Petronella de Meath, was tortured by Church authorities and confessed to witchcraft, thereby implicating Kyteler. At this point, Kyteler fled the country, presumably to England. She was never heard from again.

I guess the great thing about Mookie, if you're a practitioner of the dark arts, is that no one would ever expect her to be dark with that cute face. If only you can get her arms to go down and stay down into a position that does not look like she's trying to strangle someone!
