She says her name is Dark Side of the Moonbeam, but you may call her Moonbeam. She’s a little bit too dark for our taste. We’re not afraid of her, because we set the ground rules down for her firmly, but we just don’t try to hold onto dark spirits because we don’t work with them very often. We agreed to try to find a home for her though. As you can see in the video her EMF reading is quite high. Lots of energy here!
I could not get any other name out of her. She insists we should just call her Moonbeam. She was born in 1642 and passed in 1660. She lived in a small town outside of Salem, Massachusetts with her parents and her older sister. Her older sister was into witchcraft and taught Moonbeam everything she knows. They only practiced in the attic when their parents weren't around, because their father was always happy when he'd hear of another lynching of a witch in the area. He despised witchcraft, because he didn't understand it, like most people at that time.
When their father unexpectedly came home early one day, he heard them making noise in the attic, and decided he better investigate. He caught them red-handed in a seance conjuring spirits. He flew off the handle, and without thinking, took them to the local authorities. He thought they would just use some scare tactics to get them to stop fooling around with witchcraft, but they took it very seriously, and locked them up. Both Moonbeam and her sister were hung a few days later after they were found guilty by the admission of their own father.
It was more than their mother could handle, as Moonbeam and her sister were her only children. Moonbeam tells us her mother killed her father shortly after she and her sister were killed.
Moonbeam wants to work with someone who practices the craft, and she wants to help them perfect any spells they are working on with her own ideas, which she says she will plant into the mind of her keeper either through dreams or during waking hours, if her keeper is receptive to this type of communication.
She likes all types of magick and she likes to learn other ways of doing things as well, so she is open to seeing how her keeper handles things and what kind of ideas he or she may have. She loves hanging out with other spirits, but she's not keen on tiny children. Animals are fine and children who can walk and talk are fine. She doesn't care for toddlers or babies. She won't harm them, but she's annoyed by them, and sometimes when she gets annoyed, we hear banging sounds and growling. Other things that annoy her are people who are "too cheery" all the time. We had something on the TV once at work for the child spirits that was sunny and happy. Cartoons or something. She mentioned it was making her gag. We told her she had to wait and let the kids watch that for a while and then we would change it to something that was more her speed. Five minutes later, she was growling. We turned the channel then and removed her from the shop that evening. She resides with Mya now until she can find her forever home.
For offerings, Moonbeam likes green grapes, blackberries, liver, pork chops, au gratin potatoes, anything with cheese on it, vampires (pictures, movies, action figures, anything vampiresque), giraffes, listening to acid rock music, watching horror movies (the bloodier, the better), and being read to. (She prefers tales from the crypt type stories).
